Venchi Chocolate & Gelato Westchester

This was my first time trying Venchi, and I have to say the gelato was absolutely delicious. The chocolates were excellent, and the store itself is beautiful. The layout is inviting, elegant, and makes you want to try everything. Unfortunately, the customer experience didn’t match the quality of the products. My sister was taking her time choosing chocolates to buy, while my mom and I were getting gelato. I already knew one of the flavors I wanted, but I was curious about the pistachio kunafa and simply asked for a small sample after seeing another customer receive one. I was told I couldn’t have a sample until I had paid for my gelato. I didn’t take it personally. I assumed it might be a company policy to reduce waste, and I can understand that. However, it created an unnecessarily awkward situation. Since my sister was still shopping, I couldn’t get my gelato yet, and she kept asking why I didn’t have it. I had to explain twice that I wasn’t allowed to proceed until I paid first, which essentially forced us into separate transactions instead of letting us enjoy the experience together. I love Venchi and I’m so glad they have a location at this mall. Arel makes all the difference. The products are high-quality but service can be lacking unless Arel is there. He is kind professional, and brings a delightful energy to the store. He definitely should be recognized. I tend to only go in when I see him working.

The ice cream was excellent, but unfortunately the service is poor and didn’t match the quality of the product. Me and my friends visited on Monday, July 6, and ordered two ice creams. They were absolutely delicious, and I’d happily come back for them. However, the staff came across as very transactional and somewhat unwelcoming. I understand that dealing with difficult customers can be exhausting, but it’s important to remember that not every customer is a difficult one. I had actually planned to browse and purchase some chocolates and other items as well, but the interaction made me feel uncomfortable, so I decided not to. I hope the staff receive additional customer service training, because the products are genuinely worth recommending. A warmer and more welcoming experience would make a significant difference.

I made a stop at Venchi Westchester, and Gina and Giovanna gave us an amazing experience. The crepes, coffee, and gelato were all top quality, as always! It’s always a great idea to come here for dessert.

I had a latte and it was so smooth and creamy and the chocolates are to die for. Not to mention the service. The gelato was superb! The people working at the Westchester store are friendly and take their time explaining the different chocolates. Jovanna was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different chocolates.
